Julie and Danni's questions . . .
1. If you could have dinner
with anybody, who would you choose?
I'd always chose my husband ... we really do have a great time together.
2. What's your favourite
cocktail/wine/mocktail?
I love a smokey margarita but I usually drink red wine...nothing beats a good cab.
3. If you could have any
job in the world, apart from your current job, what would you be? I'd love to be a set designer for the movies.
4. If you could change your
name what would you change it to?
5. Are you a summer or
winter person?
Winter ... I have that Irish skin that does not do well in the sun.
Plus, I love a beautiful coat...I feel very put together when I have one on.
6. Are you a saver or a
spender?
Spender... although I do save a little.
7. If you could live in any
era (i.e. 40s, 60s etc) what would you choose?
This reminds me of Midnight in Paris ... I think I'd choose the 20s for the fashion alone.
8. What's one place you
want to visit before you die?
I've always wanted to get to Spain.
9. If you were an animal,
what would you be and why?
I guess I'd be Dexter the Dog... he's well feed, well groomed, and well loved.
Dex and Tessie!
10. Name your favourite colour. white

Julie and Danni's questions . . .
Who are your favorite designers?
Easily - Suzanne
Kasler, Victoria Hagan,
Windsor Smith, and Mariette Himes
Gomez.
Favorite room to decorate?
Dining room.
What trend do you love?
I love the idea
of taking something old and repurposing it, for example an old dresser - maybe
repainting it and adding new pulls - used in the dining room with a bar set on it.
Your
biggest pet peeve in design?
A room that
looks like it was purchased in one day from one showroom...a room that has no personality.
What have you learned or gained from blogging?
I learned there are so many wonderful, kind and supportive people all over the world
willing to share ideas and what they have learned in the design world and
beyond. That's my favorite thing about blogging!
How long have
you been blogging?
It will be one
year in April!
What exciting things or opportunities have happened to you
because of blogging?
I have gotten
the courage to show my artwork and as a result I sold two pieces! One buyer is
another blogger (Allison Watts from Heirloom Philosophy).
here's one of my little pieces...
What do you hope to achieve from blogging?
I've been thinking about introducing an e-design service. Blogs are a great way to put yourself or your services out there. So, If I got that together, that would be an achievement for me.
How long does it take you to do a post?
Anywhere from a half an hour to two.
I change my
pillowcase everynight!
(is that
weird?)
When I first started, I knew nothing about blogs, followers, comments, etc. I started on a whim and it eventually build up little by little ... I'm just excited I've made it this far. I still have a lot to learn, but what I hope to achieve is to create a beautiful journal of inspiration. There really are SO many talented design bloggers and I guess I'd love to be put in that category.

The biggest reason that I have been psyched to find your blog is that I love your paintings so much. I just find them enormously soothing--please keep showing them! :) Loved reading all of the extras too--and you and your husband make one gorgeous couple too.

What a beautiful family you have including Dexter. So we know you're gorgeous, you have a beautiful family and you're talented so I was glad you threw at least one odd thing in about yourself....funny about the pillowcase thing. I think we all have one odd habit but that is what makes us all unique and I love it.

So nice to learn so much about you. Never tried a smokey margarita but sounds great. I love red wine! ALways thought about attempting Bikram yoga - I do basic yoga - but I don't think I would survive the heat.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have found your blog, and on the perfect day to learn more about you! It was a delightful visit with my morning coffee. Your art, style, family and, of course, Dexter are fabulous!
