Inside Inspiration . . .

hall closets

Domino
Here in my apartment we have a very long hall way. It starts in the living room and leads to the master bedroom with the kid's bedroom doors on the right and the "hall closets" on the left. The three hall closets house our audio/video equipment in one, out of season clothes in another and all of our linens in a third.
Anyway, the design concept for the hall is very straight forward. . . keep it simple and bright with a little interest.
Yesterday I added to the "interest" element. I had my carpenter apply some much needed trim detail to the flat closet doors.
Here's a sneak peak of the progress...

I also want to add something pretty inside to inspire me to keep them clean and organized.
A touch of color and pattern would be great as well, since the hall has a white on white color palette.
A beautiful paper would be nice.

I'm thinking something like these...
farrow and ball

Which paper would you choose?
I'm hoping to have it all done by the holidays... wish me luck!

  2. Hi! Just found you via your comment on Brabourne Farm. Love that one!
Regarding your wallpaper choice I prefer the first floral and the geometric. Which do you have least (floral or geometric) in the rest of your decor? Go with that! It will always give you a "hit" of something different and inspiring while you search through storage. Looks like you have found a finish carpenter/artist - his work is perfect. I'm sure you will be making your deadline of Christmas!

  6. How gorgeous!
If you are doing both doors and back wall, then go for a lighter pattern. You could even go for contrast if you do this by painting the back wall/inside and then wallpapering the inside of the doors.
If you are doing the back wall only, then go for the darker paper (i.e. the last one) - which is my fave out of all options here.

    Good luck
